The main fields for PRP Treatments

Joints & Ligaments

PRP was first used as a therapy in the orthopaedic field many years ago.  Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections into the affected joint reduce pain and promote healing. Joints and ligaments are subject to trauma, wear and tear especially in postmenopausal women due to the lack of oestrogen. The growth factors contained in the PRP promote healing of injured tissue and reduce inflammation. PRP injections are most commonly used for knee, shoulder, foot, ankle, and elbow problems

Intimate rejuvenation

During Perimenopause and menopause the decline in oestrogen causes a loss of collagen and elastin in the vulva and vagina. This results in a number of symptoms collectively known as Genitourinary Symptoms of Menopause (GSM).

These symptoms include recurrent urinary tract infections, vaginal dryness, cracking and bleeding, lack of libido and sensation and inability to reach orgasm.

PRP is a nonsurgical treatment that stimulate the growth of new cells in the vaginal walls and clitoris. in women, PRP is injected into different vaginal spots (G spot) or urethral spots (Skene’s glands). The tonic action created on these tissues improve urinary incontinence. Women report significant improvement in stimulation, sensitivity and sex drive.

PRP is an effective treatment to rejuvenate these tissues and allow women to enjoy intimacy. The results are almost immediate and astonishing (provided there is a real PRP concentrated). The effect is especially extremely durable, on the order of several years, as ageing resumes its rights. You might require three sessions in total occasionally.

Many women experience great results where satisfaction rate is > 80%. The procedure is quick and requires no downtime. Complications are rare and include minimal discomfort, feeling a slight pinch, some pressure, and minor cramping.

In men, PRP is injected into 2-3 spots in both sides of the cavernous bodies and under the skin improving volume. Erections are obtained faster, firmer and stay much longer.

Erectile dysfunction

PRP improves sexual function in both men and women alike of all ages by stimulating blood vessel growth and nerve regeneration. These changes improve erection in men, while women become more sensitive or have greater excitement leading more easily to orgasm.

PRP is a safe and promising method for the improvement of mild to moderate erectile dysfunction.

Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie’s Disease (PD), is a connective tissue disorder in which a lesion or plaque can form in the penis. It is estimated that 10-15 % of men suffers from PD. It can occur at any age, although it is seen mostly in middle‑aged men. PRP has been shown to be an effective treatment in many cases.

The plaque reduces blood supply causing erectile dysfunction (impotence). If erection is possible, The rigidity of the plaque does not allow the adjacent tissues to stretch like the rest of the penis. That causes the penis to curve towards the side of the the plaque wherever it is. This also leads to pain and inability to maintain erection.

PRP is a nonsurgical treatment that can lead to significant improvement in the condition. PRP is injected into the lesion (plaque) and the surrounding area. Additional PRP can be injected in other areas as requested to improve function. Studies shown at least 50% reduction in curvature and plaque size in 6 months period of treatment.

Cosmetic Medicine

Platelets separated from patient’s own blood have a healing power. When injected into body tissues, they enhance healing and rejuvenate these tissues.

PRP can be used to rejuvenate many parts of your body including face, neck and hands. In the Vampire Facelift, PRP is injected into strategic areas of the patient’s face, to encourage skin healing and collagen production resulting in a more youthful, plumper, and firmer appearing skin.

Hair restoration

PRP as a treatment for hair restoration is a safe, quick and minimally invasive procedure. The treatment time is around 1 hour. This includes a thorough consultation to ensure your suitability for the procedure.

PRP is considered as an effective alternative to hair transplant.  The concentrated growth factors included in you blood sample revitalise the scalp and stimulate hair follicles. The result is thicker, fuller hair and restored confidence.

The procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic if required and results can be improved by the use of Microneedling technique. No medications are necessary and return to work is immediate. Return to sports activities is usually after 2 days.
