(Platelet-Rich Plasma)
The cure from within
Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is a natural part of your own blood. It contains many growth and rejuvenating factors that can be used in a concentrated form to rejuvenate the desired part in your body e.g., stimulate collagen formation and improving blood supply.
The process involves three steps:
1. Draw a blood sample from your arm.
2. The separation of the blood into PRP / PRF and red blood cells. This is done by spinning the blood sample into a centrifuge.
3. The injection of the PRP into the targeted body part.
Why our PRP is different?
Our medical grade PRP uses a new generation horizontal centrifuge and Swiss engineered test tubes enabling us to obtain a 97% purity yield of 3 - 4.4 billion platelets. The spin and design of the tubes allows separation of the platelets without damaging them and we then draw them up with syringes not needles, again to avoid damage to the product. There are no additives, gels or acrylics in our tubes.
PRP can be used to rejuvenate the face, neck and hands. Is HRT safe for me?
When first introduced, HRT was considered as an effective therapy, not only for menopause symptoms but also as a preventative treatment for some chronic diseases. By the early 90s, Premarin was one of the most prescribed drug in the US. HRT was regarded by scientists as the most important discovery in preventive medicine. HRT safety and efficacy were proven by many research studies and it was reigned as the gold standard for menopause management.
The publication of the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) trials in 2002 came as a bombshell that hit the medical establishment. Initial results revealed that a certain combination and dosage of estrogen and progestin was riskier to women’s health than anyone had understood. This was a complete turnaround from what doctors had believed for more than a half-century.
Unfortunately, it took scientists several years of ongoing research since 2002, to confirm that, when properly applied for an appropriate period of time, HRT can have wide-ranging benefits. Women on HRT for an average of 8 years have better cardiac health than those not receiving the therapy. They also have significantly less chance of developing osteoporosis
